Breann Richey
Ph.D. candidate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
Texas A&M University
Breann studies how introduced populations respond to new ecological conditions and how those responses can inform conservation. Her research combines fieldwork in Italy and the United States with studies of behavior, morphology, habitat use, and distribution.
Student research and community participation are integral to Breann’s work. She supports students as they develop research questions, collect and analyze data, and share their findings through presentations and manuscripts.

Audra Hicks
Audra is currently working on her M.S. at Texas A&M in the Lawing Lab. Audra’s research focuses on fluctuating asymmetry and developmental instability in Italian wall lizards. Audra joined the lizard team as an undergraduate researcher in 2023.

Loris Di Vozzo
Loris is a PhD student in the Lawing Lab at Texas A&M. His research is focused on morphological variation, habitat use, and diet of the Italian wall lizard. Loris has been part of the field team since he was a master’s student at the University of Pisa in 2022.

Mirko is a PhD student at the University of Roma Tre working on lizard projects across Italy. Mirko has been part of the field team since he was a master’s student at the University of Pisa in 2022.

Aiden Hamilton
Aiden is an undergraduate student at Texas A&M who has worked with Breann on IUCN Red Listing of new amphibian species and as a field assistant to Loris for his dissertation research. Aiden is currently working on an independent research project comparing refuge range among populations.

Paige Hudson
Paige is a former undergraduate researcher who worked on competition between P. siculus and native species in the US. She is now working in conservation at the Cameron Park Zoo.
