Meet the team at Texas A&M University studying invasion in the Italian wall lizard

Current Team Members

Breann is a PhD candidate in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology program at Texas A&M University. Breann’s dissertation research focuses on the factors facilitating invasion success in the Italian wall lizard, Podarcis siculus. Breann has spent the last four summers collecting data on the Italian wall lizard in its native range in Italy. She plans to apply these insights to create more informed conservation guidleines to protect native lizards from invasion by Podarcis siculus.

Breann is a Texas A&M University Merit fellow as well as a Jordan Institute for International Awareness fellow. After graduation she plans to continue working in conservation.

Taylor is a senior undergraduate student studying Environmental Geosciences at Texas A&M University. Taylor conducts research on biogeographic movements and methods of invasion of the Italian Wall Lizard from mainland Italy to native, near-native, and foreign regions. She also assists with field data collection and is continuing to support through publications, data analysis, and continuing her island biogeographic database.
